An app created for those who want to enjoy their days off
Days Off was created for postgraduates working full time figure out how to use their off time in a productive way. There are activity prompts and other enjoyable features to look forward to on your day off.

OVERVIEW
Days Off Mobile App is the first-pick activity application for post-graduates to use to enjoy their days off from work. Once logging in and creating your account you will find engaging activity prompts to complete and earn badges that can be share with family and friends. Each feature inside of the app includes beautiful illustrations, entertaining prompt lingo, and inspiring animated elements such as the confetti on the calendar to celebrate your days off. Days Off want to relieve post-graduates from stress, increase resilience and find greater happiness through self-discovery.
SOLUTION
To meet the goal of creating an app to help post-graduates in enjoying their days off, I compiled a visual identity system of inspiring illustrations and engaging activity prompts to help users maneuver their way through the adult world and put their best foot forward.
Research
THE PROBLEM
After a survey was conducted amongst post-grads the consensus brought the concern of feeling unproductive and not fully enjoying their time outside of work. One survey participant said she felt like she was checking her email even when she wasn’t working which made it hard to recuperate in her time off.

Features Available in the App
Calendar
Link your work calendar (Outlook/Google) to calculate your days off. The days that you have off are highlighted. The current date is visually darker. Activity levels or shuffle to pick an activity to do can be viewed by clicking the days off.
*Confetti pops up in both the number of days off and on an actual day to celebrate.
EARN BADGES
Badges are earned by completing activities and submitting photos when prompted.
CREATE MEMORIES
Don’t worry those photos submitted to earn badges are save to your memories to look back on at a later date.
Profile & Swipe
The shuffle feature allows the user to get random activities to pick from swiping right and left.
Activity Levels
Relaxing · Productive · Active · Adventurous
All activities have a description that describes the prompt. It includes a rough time estimate of how long each activity will take to complete. Once you have completed the task you submit a photo and earn your badge. You can share your earned badge with family, friends, and even your coworkers!
ACTIVITY LEVEL 1: RELAXING
The activities at this level are created to help you relax and enjoy your day off in a restorative way.
Examples: Face masks, step outside, tanning, yoga, and meditating.
Color Code: Sage (Light Green)
ACTIVITY LEVEL 2: PRODUCTIVE
This level helps the user pick something that will help them feel productive with their time on their day off.
Examples: Rearrange a living space, buy a plant, go thrifting, water plants, and clean a room.
Color Code: Peach (Light Orange)
ACTIVITY LEVEL 3: ACTIVE
This level gives suggested activities that will make you feel like you spent your day off in an active way.
Examples: Pick berries, get ice cream, skateboarding, go to the park, and work out with a buddy.
Color Code: Forrest (Dark Green)
ACTIVITY LEVEL 4: ADVENTUROUS
Want to step out of your comfort zone today? This is the level for you. Sharing the badges earned with your friends and family will totally get you some cool points.
Examples: Book a plane ticket, go skydiving, go for a hike, go surfing, buy a new outfit, and go on a road trip.

Comments: It took me a second to find the relaxing, but I was able to find it as well as the labels made it easy to know how to share and complete the task. It didn't take long, and the graphics made it enjoyable.

Comments: After signing up I enjoyed the shuffle part but the navigation bar made it quick to get to the calendar to find out when my days are off.

Comments: I enjoyed going through the signing process; I LOVE the seasonal graphics, and after finding out there is a fun, moving picture, it made me want to look through all of them. I do wish it was made easier to go back to the same spot instead of having to scroll and find it again.
